Grange Files for Re-election
John Grange has filed for re-election in the 76th District. This will be his 4th term -- John's committee assignments include: Vice-chairman of the Commerce and Labor Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Legislative Post Audit Committee, member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Budget Committee, Judiciary Committee.

On the National Level John is the Kansas Representative for the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), executive committee, Transportation Committee, and is the Co-Chairman of the NCSL Military and Veterans Task Force. He serves as a Board Member of the Kansas Wildscape Foundation

He is proud to serve the residents of the 75th District and area which includes, El Dorado, Towanda, Benton, Potwin and Whitewater and the areas in between to the Sedgwick County line. He considers it an honor to work for constitutent issues that have included, Veterans issues, Unemployment Compensation issues, highway safety, bridge and guardrail infrastructure improvements, Wildlife and Parks, and the Contractor and Building Industry. He continues to work to improve government accountability and communication and cooperation between all local government entities.

He is a member of St Johns Church, The VFW, American Legion, and El Dorado City Code Planning Committee; President of Carlisle's Heating, Electrical and Plumbing. Married to Nancy (38 years), two children, Matt, wife Jayme (Prather) grandson Charlie of El Dorado, and Mc Kenzie and husband Ryan Harding, grandson Samuel, of Pittsburgh PA.

Dear Colleague and Constitutent,

I am preparing for the 2010 session of the Kansas Legislature and as such I would like your opinion on a variety of topics. Response by email is preferable however; hard copy in the mail is acceptable as well. Your prompt response is appreciated

If you would like to share your thoughts on any topic that I have not identified please send your comments. As always, any suggestions to improve/delete/increase the delivery of government services or entitlements should include your funding sources, the number of people it will impact and the consequences if not delivered. I realize you may not have expertise or an opinion in the selected areas and that is OK, Let me know what you think on the topics on which you have an opinion.

I will use this information as I work representing you in Topeka; I welcome differing viewpoints as well as those that agree with me. The following general categories are to provide you focus on relevant topics, feel free to expand or add to the list.

Rep. Grange to Work for Sales Tax Exemption for Cabin Program
Kansas State Representative John Grange (R-El Dorado) announced today he will work for sales tax exemption for the Kansas Wildscape Foundation for building materials purchased for its cabin construction program. You can read the full release here.
